Mum and I travelled in the front of a tow truck to Kalgoorlie (with car and caravan on the back- the others in a borrowed BMW) and we are having a great time! We finally got to Kalgoorlie and got out at a caravan park to set up. The 4WD was loaded down from the tow truck and the BMW was loaded onto the truck to go back to Norseman. Tomorrow we are getting on a larger tow truck (that will fit all 6 of us) for the exciting 8 hour drive to Perth!

Day 6 in Norseman... Still!

Have been traveling well and enjoyed a night at Cactus beach on the 26th... Apparently one of the best surfing beaches in the country.'Nasty' Nigel greeted us and in the morning showed his commitment to the surf with a "yahoo!" as he ran towards the waves. We didn't surf but did enjoy finding lots coral and shells.
29/6- We are now sitting in the Norseman BP. Last night we filled up with petrol and as we pulled out the car stopped working and would not go into gear. It looks like the transmission has gone and may take some time to fix. So we are waiting to hear from RACV with a $6 packet of spicy fruit biscuits. It's not quite the adventure we had planned!!

One day to go...

There is still some debate as to whether we will get away in the morning... Sleeping on floor tonight-hope we sleep. I hope we all wake up in a good mood in the morning!

Pre-trip headaches...

Nine days to go until we pull out of the drive way and we are looking forward to it... in the meantime we are surrounded by boxes and lots of bits and pieces that don't quite fit into boxes or can't be categorised.

At least now I can tick off the "set up blog" on the TO DO: list.
